Just discovered Sam Wilkes and some of his work and bass playing, and arrived to this record. It reminds me a lot to John Hassell/Eno era a bit more jazzy, and all the ambient music from the 80’s. I love it! Santi Umbert
I got this album after having listened to Mark Aubert and Ridgewell's release. The cassette is a bit mixed as Johnsson's half is very laid back sundown indie rock and is then met by Aubert's beats. After listening through the tape a few times back to back I started to gravitate more toward Johnsson's side of the tape. Through and through great release but I definitely believe in having one release per artist. Viktor Pilkington
Originally released in 2020, this future funk banger gets a reissue augmented by a whole host of new tracks with rubbery grooves. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 2, 2022
An album that was challenging at first but always thought provoking, painting pictures with rhymes over such harsh & strong instrumentals all throughout. Mystifying, gorgeous and intense melancholy all at once conveyed beautifully. I was typing a longer review before I realized it was too long, but this album from start to finish is a beautiful painting in each track. I'd list almost every track as my favorite if possible, so much good to say about the raps, beats, guest features. Great music. darksunq
